The Princess of Wales revealed that one of Prince Louis’s first words has a foodie connection – with the young royal even having a vegetable that he “absolutely loves”.
Even at the age of five, it appears that Prince Louis is a major foodie with one go-to vegetable that he “absolutely loves”.
The young royal reportedly loves vegetables, and enjoys one that isn’t very typical, like peas or carrots.
The vegetable, which doesn’t appear popular among many adults, is also very sophisticated for a child of Louis’s age.
During a chat with famous baker Mary Berry, Kate revealed that her youngest son is a fan of beetroot.
The royal previously spoke to the baking legend on TV, stating: “We’ve got carrots, beans, beetroot – a massive favourite – Louis absolutely loves beetroot.”
As reported by MyLondon, Kate also revealed that Mary Berry’s cooking books influenced Louis’s first word.
The mother-of-three said: “One of Louis’s first words was Mary because right at his height are all my cooking books in the kitchen bookshelf.
“And children are really fascinated by faces, and your faces are all over your cooking books and he would say, ‘that’s Mary Berry’, so he would definitely recognise you if he saw you today.”
Speaking of food, Kate also once revealed one dish that all three of her children love – cheesy pasta.
During a previous visit to Enfield Primary School in 2019, Kate detailed how Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis love to get involved in making the much-loved meal.
She said: “One stirs the flour, one puts the milk and butter in.”
After the visit, Matthew Kleiner-Mann – who is the chief executive of the Ivy Learning Trust – said: “She was telling us how much her children love cooking and how they cook for her.”
During a visit to Great Ormond Street Hospital in 2018, Kate chatted to four-year-old Rafael Chana, from East Preston, who was waiting for a heart transplant.
Their conversation quickly turned to food, with the child telling Kate that he loves olives, to which she replied, “I used to eat lots and lots of olives when I was little as well”.
Taken to her Twitter page, at the time, royal reporter Rebecca English shared that Kate also told the little boy that Princess Charlotte is a fan of olives.
She wrote: “The Duchess of Cambridge revealed today that her daughter, Princess Charlotte, loves olives and she encourages both her and Prince George to cook with her.”
