Sarah Ferguson has opened up on the lesser-known little royal, speaking about how “strong” she is and the bond she shares with her older half-brother.

Sarah Ferguson has shared a rare update on Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s daughter Sienna on her new podcast.

The grandmother of three, speaking on Tea Talks with The Duchess & Sarah podcast, revealed that her granddaughter has a “close” bond with her half-brother Christopher “Wolfie” Woolf.

Fergie also told how she bonded with Sienna in an unusual way when she was babysitting her while her parents were abroad.

Beatrice, 34, and Edoardo, 39, were recently in Jordan, attending Crown Prince Al Hussein and architect Rajwa Al Saif’s extravagant wedding.

Since their daughter was born in September 2021, the couple have sought to keep Sienna out of the spotlight — with not so much as a single photograph made public — but now Fergie has shared some insight into what the little royal, who is tenth in line to the throne, is like.

Speaking on the second episode of her podcast, released on Thursday, Fergie explained that Sienna is “really strong” as she tries to keep up with her seven-year-old older brother.

Despite the age difference, Sienna and Wolfie are “very close” and have a “great relationship”, Fergie said.

Speaking to her co-host and friend, Sarah Thomson, Fergie said: “Sienna is very, very strong. She’s 18 months… and Wolfie, her brother, is seven, so she’s really strong. She has to be.”

Beatrice is stepmother to Wolfie, Edoardo’s son from his previous relationship with American architect Dara Huang. A source told People in 2019 that Wolfie is “very much part of their life”, adding that Beatrice has “embraced the child as part of her life from the outset”.

She continued: “Wolfie says ‘come on Sienna’ and off they go. And they’re very close and have a great relationship.”

By having her granddaughter all to herself for a few days, Fergie said she “managed to bond” with Sienna.

The Duchess of York said: “While Beatrice was away in Jordan, I was allowed to have Sienna to play and to stay with me. So it was very nice, the last couple of days, I’ve managed to really have a bond.”

The grandmother of three revealed that she forged a bond with Sienna by giving her a sip of tea, a “special treat” she can expect to receive from her “doting granny”.

She continued: “I gave her a little sip of tea out of my teacup. So now, I give her a little tiny bit of tea.”

Fergie — who says he goes by the nickname “GG” — sought to quell any listeners’ fears, explaining that she mixed it with cold water before giving any to Sienna.

She added: “It’s a special treat for GG to give a little tea… It was a very sweet moment, actually.”

Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank took to Instagram to announce the arrival of the latest royal baby on Monday, sharing a picture of her son August stroking the baby’s head.

Fergie gushed over her youngest grandchild on the podcast, saying: “He’s a… seriously beautiful little boy. Now of course everybody says that but of course, he is… He’s done very, very well.”
