In a resurfaced interview with Shape, Meghan said: “Oh man, I mean the number one people always say, but it’s so true, is just hydrate, hydrate all the time. Your skin will look better everything will look really good.”

Drinking water helps the skin and body look good for a whole host of issues. Consuming enough water helps to regulate your appetite and helps promote the healthy function of the body, meaning your skin benefits from the vitamins and minerals in the food you eat even more.

The Duchess relies on another natural product to make her skin glow and her hair shine. She uses coconut oil as a face and hair mask, and she also cooks with it.

Meghan explained: “I have been using a lot of coconut oil though of late, on my skin on my hair like as a deep conditioner and then even to cook with. So, I guess that’s the second thing that I’m a big fan of.”

The product has been found by studies to boost the moisture in dry skin and help prevent water loss from the skin. It was also found in a study to deeply penetrate the hair and make it stronger.

Meghan went on to detail her favourite makeup product, a cult classic from a French brand. She said: “And then in terms of actual beauty products, I would say one of my favourite things in the world is just Touche Éclat concealer under the eyes. It’ll save you on the days when you didn’t get quite enough sleep.

Touche Éclat is famously loved by many celebrities, including Kaia Gerber, Zoe Kravtiz, and Victoria Beckham. The Touche Éclat Illuminating Pen, £29, is described by the brand as an “essential” for your makeup bag. It said the product “instantly helps to brighten your best facial features without shimmer or glitter, giving a natural, luminous finish.

“It makes your face appear more vibrant and healthy – consider it your secret weapon to conquer the art of complexion.”

Meghan also previously discussed her love of the product with BirchBox, a beauty brand the Duchess collaborated with for her blog The Tig. The Duchess worked with the company to create her own Birchbox, filled with her favourite products.

A Birchbox employee at the time told Express Meghan was a “gracious” boss who went ‘”above and beyond” with everyone.

Meghan said: “To open up your eyes, apply a highlighter like Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Éclat in the inner corner. This trick is especially good when we are filming at 3 a.m. and I need to look bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.”
