On Wednesday, May 8, Markle and Harry unveiled Baby Sussex to the world during a photocall at St. George’s Hall at Windsor Castle, just before they brought him to meet his grandparents: Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, whom Markle claims they bumped into in the corridor. The Duchess of Sussex said of becoming a mom in a signature white trench top, “It is magic.

Soon after the baby arrived, and overjoyed Prince Harry greeted reporters.

The birth was “the most stunning experience I could ever imagine,” he said. “What any woman does is beyond imagination, but we are both absolutely thrilled.”

The baby weighed around 7 lbs, 3 oz. And all seemingly went well. “The duchess and baby are both safe and well,” reads the post, “and the family would like to thank members of the public for their mutual enthusiasm and interest in their lives during this very special time.”

“The nursery itself will be very modern according to sources that are helping with[ their new home] renovations,” Royal reporter Katie Nicholl told ET in January. “Do not expect a pink or baby blue baby to be seen. It will apparently be a monochrome palette— whites and grays, I’m told, will be the color theme for the nursery for baby Sussex.

Harry and Meghan have recently relocated to their newly renovated Windsor residence.

The nursery: Vanity Fair reports that Markle and Prince Harry have set up their “eco-friendly, gender-neutral nursery,” which comes fitted with a playroom and two bedrooms — including one for Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland. The white and gray color scheme, per VF, includes “top-of-the-line cameras, security windows, and state-of-the-art stereo system.” “They’re all going out with the house’s refurbishment and as Harry enjoys his gadgets, it’s going to be really interesting. From their smartphones, they will be able to control anything,” a friend tells the publication.

Royal writer Omid Scobie reported on June 13 that the couple hired a British woman nanny for baby Archie as the Duke of Sussex continues his summer commitments and Markle begins to plan to return to full-time royal duties in the fall. He says the nanny is not currently located at their Frogmore Cottage home and is not working weekends at the moment — but not much else is known at the moment. That isn’t likely to change as Markle and Prince Harry try to keep their son’s privacy as much as possible.

The onlookers. After his birth, Baby Archie has reportedly had several celebrity guests, including Serena Williams, Kate Middleton and Prince William, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla, Markle’s best friend Jessica Mulroney, and her makeup artist, Daniel Martin, among others.
